The purpose of this essay is to contrast and compare the safety, the money and the independence of living with family and living with friends. Although living with family and living with friends are both very useful and pleasant, the living styles differ significantly.People's feelings and behaviors are changing depending on their living place.
(Albert Ellis Institute,2008) First of all, Research by Sailee Kale (2011) showed when you live with your parents there is no need to worry, and you feel weakened. Because parents are obliged to care about their health, physical, mental, spiritual and moral development; to provide them receiving the main general education, and also to protect the rights and interests of the children (DECLARATION OF THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD, 1959). As you are their child they are going to do everything for you to lead full-fledged life(www.dailymail.co.uk, 2011). But when you live with friends the difficulties of life are beginning (Ernest Hemingway, 1920). In the majority of cases you have a lack of money, besides you do not eat healthy house foods, and they should have sense that it is a time to become reasonable(Washington Financial Aid Association, 2008).
As I said before parents take care of their child, thereby they take care of how their child is dressed. When an individual is choosing a location to live in there are manyfactors to consider. Some of these factors include population, amenities, school, employment, and crime rates.
Desirable locations vary based on an individual’s age, ethnicity, and career path.Choosing a place to live is something that should not be taken lightly. Buying a home will lockone into a mortgage and make it more difficult to get out, unlike a lease, when one rents a homethere is more flexibility.Shopping OpportunitiesTypically in an urban location one will have more opportunities to shop and find neededitems at any given moment at a more affordable price. In a rural setting, however, there is asmaller population and less of a demand for goods and a person would have a difficult timebuying items that they need as well as paying a considerably higher price for the items.
Supplyand demand play a big role on the price and availability of goods and merchandise. In an urbanarea there are more stores that carry items so they have to be competitive and offer sales andlower prices so consumers will buy their products.TransportationAn individual also needs to consider the travel expense associated with living in a ruralarea, as.Words: 943 - Pages: 4.Living for the city'Living for the city' is a song written and produced by the multitalented musician Stevie Wonder. The song was released in 1973 and it is about racism and poverty, which many people are still suffering from.
The song was and still is appreciated by many people and Wonder wants people to wake up and understand the importance of these issues. The song specifically apprizes a boy growing up in Mississippi. His parents work hard and encourage him to do well in school, despite the living conditions that are surrounding them. His family is poor and they don't have enough money and they have to deal with racism and injustice. But his parents are encouraging him to stay strong and work hard to get out of this dreadful situation. This was a typical living condition in the 1970s and unfortunately a lot of people in today’s society are still living under these circumstances. The song starts off by Wonder describing how the boy's parents work hard; hours on end to get through the hard days but barley make enough money for food.
Poverty is a big issue here and it has become a way of life. Many people say that poverty is a natural phenomenon while others argues that people cause poverty.
It is hard to tell what actually causes poverty because it depends on where you are born and what the society you belong to is doing to prevent poverty. It is a difference between countries in the west like United Kingdom and USA and countries like India and countries in Africa.Words: 1151 - Pages: 5.disadvantages of living in a joint familyA joint family was a phenomena found only in India of the bygone days. This really meant that, the parents with all their children and grandchildren stayed together under one single roof. This system could prevail for decades for several reasons. First and foremost, all the children stayed in the same town as, no one went out of the town to another distant town in search of a job. This made it possible for all children to remain in town, and that also in the same house. Secondly, and more importantly, the sons and daughters-in-law were all treated as one family. you get complete support of family members when ever needed, your children will not left out alone at home when you go for a job, you can share your joys and sorrows with them.
the only drawback of joint family is that you don't get that much freedom and privacy as you can get in nuclear family. You cant hide anything as u r in joint family.what ever u want to keep secret.everyone can find that.so no privacy.(D). Another benefit, we don't have to ask for help from others if all family members are living together. Each and every person will share their opinions and take a good decision. no independent decision making. One may enjoy a joint family if there is a good thinking among the members of the family. If not it becomes very hard to sustain the joint family as there will be discrimination arising. So basic pillar of joint.Words: 761 - Pages: 4.Living FutureFinal Essay AssignmentThao NguyenWaking up to Frank’s disturbances and being lead on out of his bedroom, Donnie has a purpose to serve in the tangent universe, which he has no idea of.

However, making one’s life simple requires consistency, determination, and demanding practice. Everyone perceives the meaning of simple living differently since it is a deliberate way of living. For example, some people are willing to forgo everyday amenities such as cell phones, televisions, and the internet whereas some others are not, but instead are ready to give up things like expensive cars, jewelries, large homes, and so on. Although, downsizing one’s life requires people to do without certain things, it’s satisfying and rewarding since it helps to reduce expenses and consumption, alleviate stress and hassles in life, and improve the quality of life.Simplifying one’s life makes one refrain from frivolous spending and excessive consumption, which will consequently increase savings so that expenses can be met on time. One would be well-budgeted to meet unforeseen circumstances. Moreover, most people do not know the difference between needs and wants. We need to be careful about what we are putting into our bodies as well as making sure that they get enough exercise in order to stay strong. For the next two weeks my plan is simple. Just try to be healthy. Usually I don’t really eat as much fruit and vegetables as I should so one of my goals is to eat the recommended daily servings of fruits and vegetables.
I also plan on exercising more and drinking lots of water. At least 8 cups a day. We go through our days and because we are super busy a lot of the time we feel like we don’t have time to exercise or we say that we are too tired. Well no excuses this week.
My plan is to go to the gym at least 3 times a week and hopefully create habits for myself that will stick for the rest of my life. Even if I have to wake up at 5am every morning to do it I will. The nutrition calculations are all about a balance between the six major food groups and we should make sure we intake a balanced diet on an everyday basis.
If I do this not only will I be stronger and healthier and have more energy, but I will be able to pass on those good habits to my children so that I can ensure that they are growing to be healthy and strong. The four kinds of exercise are physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Exercising these four groups will not only maintain their skill but will increase it continually. To enhance creativity music lessons may need to be based on creative activities.
This is an area where further research is required.Social and personal developmentResearch on the impact of participation in music on social and personal development tends to be based on self-report, either questionnaires or interviews. It has received less attention than16the impact on intellectual development and attainment, despite the fact that the effects on achievement may in part be mediated by an increase in social and cultural capital. For instance, Broh (2002) showed that students who participated in musical activities talked more with parents and teachers, and their parents were more likely to talk with friends’ parents. She concluded that these social benefits were likely to lead to higher self-esteem in the children in turn leading to increased motivation and self-efficacy. A study by the Norwegian Research Council for Science and Humanities supported this finding a connection between having musical competence and high motivation which led to a greater likelihood of success in school (Lillemyr, 1983).
There were high correlations between positive self-perception, cognitive competence score, self-esteem, and interest and involvement in school music. Whitwell (1977) drew similar conclusions and argued that creative participation in music improves self-image, self-awareness, and creates positive self-attitudes. Personally, I know what it feels like to lose someone that meaning so much about, and I think that it would be more than awful to bury generations of loved ones. I agree that advancing in age will enable ones ability to interact with future generations that they wouldn’t they wouldn’t have been capable to before the advancement of technology. Trumping the chance to meet decades of people, is the loneliness of death.Furthermore, once the new technology to keep people imortal the planet earth would be in jeopardy.
To date the world population is right over 7.2 billion people, and considered over populated. When the advancements in technology to to assist the population by erasing their expiration date, planet earth will be crammed with billions of billions of humans.
Resources to date are dangerously low and global warming is at an all time high, and with the rapid increase of population the demand for resources will become extinct. Even though the technology that you use would be amazing, the earth couldn’t survive immortal humans. Thus the value of life is the glue to help keep our society together. The more people alive the less the values of life is. Kind of like currency, the more the treasury makes the less the value money gets. M ButkusPhilosophy 251-W113 July 2013Where the Decision LiesLiving wills are documents that define a patient’s medical wishes usually pertaining to life-support or any such instances where death is presumable. A living will provides a patient with a voice under circumstances which would leave them without the ability to make health decisions. Patients who fall into a persistently vegetative state would be at the mercy of their physician, next of kin, or living will.
However, there are many times when a patient’s family has contradicting beliefs to what the patient proclaims in their living will. It can be difficult to decide whose decision should prevail. Ultimately, the previsions made by the patient in their living will should overrule in a majority of situations. Still, there are circumstances when such a decision may be unclear.First, we must understand the medical extent of someone who is in a persistently vegetative state. PVS is a disorder of consciousness and the patient is not in a state of trust awareness.
PVS occurs when a patient loses cognitive function and can only perform certain involuntary actions. Such actions include but are not limited to crying, laughing, or movement of the eyes. For them, any movement or response is purely spontaneous, unpredictable and unconnected to events outside of physical impulse.

A lot of us deal with interruptions in the mind as well, for instance, have you ever been reading and your mind just wonders off, or you could be praying for someone on the phone and all of a sudden your phone starts to beep, the battery is dying, or you receive another call. Here’s a good one, you are studying, then all of sudden you pick up your IPhone and begin to search Facebook; these are all common interruptions.
Why is this happening to me all of the time? I was just like the teacher- it made me so mad.
I got to the point where I started believing it was the devil, of course it wasn’t. Interruptions are just what they are interruptions, once I got older and wiser I knew that there would always be interruptions, so I needed a solution to the one’s in my life just like the teacher did. My solution was just being on the lookout for them, and praying about the other ones I couldn’t see coming.
I believe God allows some interruptions to come our away so we can remain imperfect, knowing that we will always need him. I read this one day; “Interruptions don't have to be viewed as thieves who 'take away,' but as divinely ordered construction zones which God can add to our lives”(Rainey).Words: 258 - Pages: 2.students managed to enrol in what he or she considers being the right course and proper educational institution of his or her choice, it is time for them to be independent (Wyatt, 2008). Acquaintance vs. FriendSupposedly, telling the difference between a friend and an acquaintance is quite easy.
However, there are still many individuals who easily get fooled by others that make them believe they are their real friends, when in they aren’t. To prevent this, there are actually some hints that will guide you in discerning a friend from an acquaintance.Foremost, you can gauge the level of your relationship with someone in terms of the depth of your interactions. Acquaintances are those people who, even if you see them everyday, like those who work in the same place as you do, talk superficially with you. A friend, on the other hand, is someone who shares a deeper level of interaction or communication.
Deep communication doesn’t imply frequent. In fact, the truest of friends are those who, despite distance, still manage to catch up with each other once in a while and talk as if time has not passed by.Secondly, a friend and an acquaintance have different levels of support for your interests. The former would most likely support you no matter what your endeavors are, whereas the latter will just hang out with you whenever you have the same interests as them. For example, if you are a painter, and you happen to open your own art gallery, you can spot your friends because they are also happy when you are happy; even if they aren’t fond of visual arts.
Oftentimes, those who only like you because you paint well are merely plain acquaintances.Thirdly, with regard to the provision of favors, a friend is someone who either asks for one, or gives favors. He may contact you because he needs you for something, or ask you about your problems so that he may be able to assist you. Acquaintances are those who ask one-sided favors from you, and nothing else. They are the ones who to benefit the most from your relationship.Lastly, an acquaintance or a friend can be identified in terms of physical presence. However, this does not mean that whoever is seen to be more physically present with you is already a friend. Sometimes, people happen to be there by chance when you’re also there. Most likely, these people are just your acquaintances.
True friends are those who really spend time with you, like having a long one-on-one talk with you some place else, or simply visiting each other’s homes and acting as if they actually own your house.1. Friends are those with whom you share a deeper level of interaction.2. Friends have all out support for your interests and happiness, unlike acquaintances.3. Friends don’t do one-sided favors, unlike acquaintances.4.
Friends like to hang out with you at a personal level, even at your own home. One can tell IF they have a friend or not, when your life goes upside down and inside out. When the going gets really bad, see who sticks around to help, If your car breaks down who comes and helps you. With me it is zero. I have Acquaintances not friends. When my life goes like I mentioned above no one comes to help, they want me to lose it all, and live on the streets. When I need help NO one shows up.
I have learned not to rely on people. I am I feel well hated. I do not measure up to there standards.
The college degree, the big job, the house, I rent, and more. Oh, and when one gets classified as a Church friend, a work friend. Oh that makes me laugh. Out side the place they will not even speak, to me. Inside the place they do. They are no friend of mine.
The only friend I have is God. He is always with me. And helps me.
People to me are useless.
Sample byThe three pairs of elements chosen to be compared and contrasted are: Friends and Seinfeld, Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy, and cats and dogs. In comparing the sitcoms, Friends and Seinfeld, the most interesting difference is the themes of the shows; Seinfeld is famously about “nothing”, while Friends is about the relationships between the cast members. While many of the elements appear similar from afar – they are both comedies that center around a group of friends, these overlying themes, or lack of them, makes their content appear very different in terms of character development and storylines. Similarly, in comparing Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy, from afar we see two similar boys: similar age, both popular within their own circles, both wealthy, and both undertaking the same education. However, when we delve in deeper, we see stark differences in their characters and personalities: Draco is selfish, cowardly, bullying, and snobby, while Harry is selfless, brave, compassionate, and friendly. These differences present themselves in the very different storylines and development we see for the characters throughout the series: Harry gradually creates more lasting relationships and fits in with his peers, while Draco gradually isolates himself. We see these stark differences again when we compare cats and dogs as pets.
While both cats and dogs are typically family pets that require consistent feeding, grooming, and attention, cats are more independent, while dogs are more dependent on their families. For instance, typically cats can be left alone during the day, while dogs need to be let out and taken care of. In addition to this, dogs are usually more attentive and affectionate towards their owners, while cats exhibit affection as they please. In order to effectively compare these three groups of pairs in compare and contrast format, it is necessary to choose an organizational pattern that works most effectively for each of the pairs. A Point by Point comparison works to compare one point of an element with another, pairwise, throughout the discussion (Bicknell, 2014). In contrast, a Block Method presents all of the facts and supporting details about one topic, before comparing the same information of another (Bicknell, 2014).
In comparing the sitcoms Friends and Seinfeld and the pets, Cats and Dogs, it would make the most organizational sense to use the Block Method of comparison, since their similarities and differences are not easily compared on a point by point basis. However, in the case of Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy, their characters are nearly opposite each other, allowing for an easy Point by Point comparison.
